The Sunpura S2400 is a home battery storage system with 2.4kWh base capacity, PV input and smart energy control. It stores surplus solar power so you can use more of your own energy later in the day, in the evening or during higher-price periods.

Home battery storage system for balcony and small solar systems

Without battery storage, some self-generated solar power may be underused. The S2400 helps increase self-consumption by storing solar energy during the day and releasing it when your home needs it. With Smart Meter, Smart Plug and app control, it becomes a flexible smart energy system for everyday use.

  • 2.4kWh battery storage: a strong starting capacity for balcony and compact solar systems.
  • Expandable up to 9.6kWh: add B2400 battery modules as your energy needs grow.
  • 2 MPPT inputs: each supports up to 1000Wp PV input for flexible panel setups.
  • LiFePO4 battery technology: designed for stability, long service life and daily home use.
  • IP65 protection: suitable for protected indoor or outdoor installation scenarios.
  • Smart energy management: works with compatible Sunpura Smart Meter and Smart Plug accessories.
  • Backup output: up to 2,400W off-grid AC output for selected essential loads.

Use more of the solar power you generate

The S2400 is built for households that want to make better use of balcony solar panels, small PV systems and smart tariff strategies. Depending on your setup, it can help store surplus generation, reduce unnecessary grid import and support smarter load scheduling.

Actual savings depend on your solar generation, household consumption, electricity tariff, installation conditions and local rules.

UK installation note: Check product compatibility, grid-connection requirements and the required installation method for your property before purchase. Do not connect the battery to a household socket unless the UK product documentation and installation route explicitly permit it.

Frequently asked questions about the Sunpura S2400

Installation, dynamic electricity prices, metering, power cuts and warranty.

Installation and compatibility

4
What is the difference between the S2400 and S2400 AC?

The S2400 has direct PV inputs. The S2400 AC is designed for an AC-coupled installation with an existing solar system.

Can I use the S2400 with an existing solar system?

Yes. In an AC-coupled configuration, the existing inverter remains in use and a compatible metering solution measures the energy flows.

Can I install the Sunpura S2400 myself?

Follow the official manual. Work on the consumer unit, fixed wiring or meter installation should be checked or carried out by a qualified professional.

Can I expand the storage capacity later?

The S2400 is available with 2.4, 4.8, 7.2 or 9.6 kWh and can be expanded to 9.6 kWh using compatible battery modules.

Dynamic electricity prices

1
How does the S2400 use dynamic electricity prices?

The system can automatically retrieve dynamic electricity prices and adjust charging and discharging in response. Savings are not guaranteed.

Smart Meter, app and control

1
Which meter should I use in the UK?

Use the compatible Sunpura Smart Meter or another measurement solution approved for your installation.

Power cuts, warranty and support

2
How does the S2400 work during a power cut?

The S2400 does not provide whole-home backup. During a grid outage, power is available only through the off-grid output.

What warranty and support apply to the S2400?

The S2400 has a 10-year warranty. For technical and after-sales support, contact service@sunpuraenergy.com.
