With a time-of-use or dynamic electricity tariff, prices change throughout the day. A compatible Sunpura energy system can charge during cheaper periods and make stored energy available when grid electricity costs more.
Charge at lower cost. Reduce grid use when prices rise.
Time-of-use electricity prices change throughout the day. Lower-cost periods can be used for planned battery charging.
Depending on the configuration, the battery can store surplus solar power or lower-cost grid electricity for later use.
When electricity prices rise, stored energy can be used to supply the home.

Use stored energy when needed
Surplus solar power can also be stored for use later.
A compatible tariff, available price data and a suitable system configuration are required. Automation, charging and discharging strategies, and available functions vary by model, tariff, accessories, installation and market. This example is illustrative; actual savings depend on electricity prices, consumption, battery capacity and operating strategy.
From LiFePO4 cell chemistry to system-status monitoring, the S2400 Series combines coordinated power electronics, integrated protection and clear operating data for everyday use.

The S2400 series uses LiFePO4 cells. The battery, power electronics and energy-management system work together as an integrated platform for controlled daily operation.
Integrated protection monitors overvoltage, overcurrent, short circuits and temperature to support controlled operation.
The S2400 and S2400 AC are specified with IP65 enclosures. Placement, ventilation and installation must still comply with the requirements for the specific product.
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, the app and compatible metering provide visibility into energy flow, operating status and settings, depending on the system configuration.
*These statements apply to the S2400 and S2400 AC. The relevant datasheet, installation manual and confirmed system configuration take precedence.

Quick answers — from choosing the right connection type to compatible energy metering and time-of-use tariffs.
The S2400 has two MPPT inputs and can accept compatible solar panels directly. Depending on the system design, it may also be integrated with an existing solar installation.
The S2400 AC has no direct PV input and is designed as an AC-coupled retrofit solution. The right option depends on the existing solar system, connection method and available energy-monitoring solution.
Yes. With an AC-coupled retrofit, the existing solar inverter remains in use. A compatible CT-based meter or other approved monitoring solution measures household energy flow so the battery can respond to imports, exports and demand.
Direct communication with the existing inverter may not be required, but connection, metering and UK installation requirements must be checked for the specific system.
The S2400 is available with 2.4 kWh, 4.8 kWh, 7.2 kWh or 9.6 kWh of storage. The right capacity depends mainly on evening and overnight consumption, daily surplus solar generation and any planned higher-power loads.
Compatible B2400 modules can expand the system up to 9.6 kWh. More capacity increases the energy available, but does not automatically increase the output power of the power unit.
A compatible monitoring system is not always required for basic battery operation, but it can measure household imports, consumption and exports so the battery can respond more accurately.
For the UK, confirm whether the Sunpura CT-based meter or another supported monitoring solution is compatible with the property, meter and system configuration. Installation inside a consumer unit should be carried out by a suitably qualified electrician.
For a new compact solar setup, choose a system with direct PV input. For existing solar panels, a compatible AC-coupled battery may be added, subject to system and installation requirements.
With a compatible time-of-use or dynamic tariff, the energy-management system can charge during cheaper periods and use stored energy when grid electricity costs more.
Depending on the operating mode, it may consider electricity prices, solar generation, consumption, weather data and state of charge. Actual savings depend on the tariff, available data, household usage and selected settings.
The S2400 can supply suitable appliances from stored energy through its separate off-grid output during a power cut.
The appliances supported and operating time depend on battery capacity, state of charge, connected load and system configuration. This function does not automatically provide whole-home backup.
Eligible S2400 products include a 10-year limited warranty, subject to the applicable warranty terms.
For support or a warranty claim, you will normally need the model, serial number, proof of purchase and a description of the issue, plus photos, videos or app screenshots where required. Technical support will first assess the case remotely and then agree the appropriate next step.
